The task:

To design and produce a family of POS that could be used across retailers and within spas.  Each retailer had to accommodate power, had its own design guidelines including size and interchangeability so we could ensure each had its own unique look and feel within an overarching theme.

Our journey:

We chose premium materials to ensure longevity and future proofing and the CTU was completely modular for flexibility – incorporating removeable back panels, interchangeable mag graphics, three height and shape options for the base, and locator holes in the top of the plinth for smaller bottles of essential oils which could be covered by a filler panel when there was no stock holding.

The items we produced within the POS family included branded glass bell jar, wooden POS blocks with gold foil logo applied and non slip laminated candle mats. The candle mat was designed to mirror the colours of the packaging of each scent to make it easily recognisable.

One of the biggest challenges with this project is that Aromatherapy associates are a B Corp certified company so all materials and packaging needed to be B corp certified.  Not using any unnecessary plastics or packaging was a significant consideration whilst maintaining a premium look and feel that was practical and fit for purpose.

What we’re proud of:

Delivering a suite of POS that is being used globally across retailers such as John Lewis and Space NK and within some of the world’s most prestigious spas and hotels. The AA sales team reported a noticeable uplift in sales within spas who were offered the POS kit if they ordered a minimum amount of product to stock.
